Full job description

Weldpress LTD is looking for full time Workshop Assistant in metal fabrication industry to join our team.
We are located in Glenbarr Avenue, Leicester, LE4 0AE

Our ideal candidate is: self-driven, motivated, punctual, really good time keeping, pay attention to details.

Duties:
* Fabrication of products according to the customer orders.
* Organizes work by checking work schedule.
* Packaging and shipping product.
* Supports work processes by inspecting, preparing, sorting, weighing, measuring, cutting, adding, trimming, drilling, grinding, sanding, bending and loading materials.
* Maintains clean and safe work site by removing scrap; sweeping and wiping down work area; disposing of trash/recycle materials; following safety rules and procedures; wearing personal protective equipment at all times.
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Maintains work supplies and materials by reading work orders; locating and verifying items in inventory; loading items on trucks or pull-carts; moving items to designated areas; unloading items.
* Positions parts and sub-assemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
* Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
* Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
* Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
* Maintains work records by entering production statistics, and materials and supplies used.
*Working overtime when need it,on short notice.
