Full job description

The Kithmore, formerly known as the Ardgowan is opening summer 2026. Set across two Georgian townhouses the hotel will feature 44 bedrooms and a 60-cover restaurant and bar.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff alike. Previous experience in hotel or hospitality is highly desirable. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional setting.

Duties

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities to the highest standards
Change bed linen, make beds, and replenish supplies such as toiletries and towels
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all surfaces to maintain cleanliness
Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly after use
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to uphold a safe working environment
Assist with laundry duties as required, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding linen or clothing
Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and equipment

Skills

Previous experience in hotel or hospitality environments is preferred
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals is advantageous
Excellent time management skills to complete tasks within allocated periods
Ability to follow instructions carefully and adhere to health and safety regulations
