Full job description

JOB OVERVIEW
You will work as part of the production team stitching soft promotional items that are produced in house to a high standard in a time efficient manner. You must have a good understanding of operating an industrial sewing machine and sewing processes. You must have an eye for detail as well as good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. The role is flexible depending on the needs of the business, hours can be worked around school times etc. It is important to recognise, this role will involve physical work and some of the products can be heavy.

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Operate an industrial sewing machine throughout all stages of the manufacturing/repair process including thread, bobbin and needle changes when required
- Be responsible for changing machine settings to achieve the correct sewing pitch as directed
- Stitch soft promotional items produced in house as per specification including but not exclusively:

Feather, teardrop and portrait flags

Sky banners

Shop front banners

3m valance wraps

Table throws

Table covers

Half side walls

- Adhoc repairs and adaptations to existing products
- Ensuring that the sewing machine is maintained accordingly and kept in good working order
- Carry out other duties as part of the production team when required
- Ensuring finished work is of high quality
- Responsible for utilising resources economically
- Identify and support the introduction of new products for both brands
- Be responsible for managing waste and improving the company’s eco footprint

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of working environment at all times.
- To ensure a prompt arrival at work.
- Adhere at all times, to contractual obligations and items set out in the Staff Handbook.

Pay: £15.00 per hour
