Full job description

Zebedees are the UK’s leading nursery meals provider delivering fresh, hot meals for nursery children in time for lunch. Based in the rural village of Laughton, East Sussex, we produce over 13,000 meals a day for our nursery clients throughout London and the South East.

Due to expansion, we are currently recruiting for an Assistant Facilities Manager to join our Facilities team. You will work with the Facilities Manager on the maintenance, repair and upkeep of buildings, facilities, equipment, and landscapes.

Our Assistant Facilities Manager duties include:

Be able to work closely with the Facilities Manager, following instructions and communicating updates
Identify maintenance issues and carry out repairs to buildings, site, and equipment
Regularly review the site, identify any items of repair and carry out improvements to ensure work is kept within budget
Be able to make repairs independently, following manuals or online research
Respond to emergency calls for maintenance
Adhere to compliance, ensuring a safe working environment and good health & safety practice

To succeed you should have:

Ideally, hold a qualification in plumbing, electrics, or engineering
Ability to work independently
Ability to troubleshoot
Ability to repair machinery through research and/or manuals
Good knowledge of maintenance to structures, grounds, and facilities
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment

Our perks:

Salary £45k per annum
Monday to Friday work 7am to 3pm
Paid overtime
Some additional Saturday work may be required
25 days holiday per year plus 8 Bank Holiday days
Closed for bank holidays and from Christmas to New Year
