Join Our Team at Roost Café – Goddenwick Farm

We're on the lookout for a friendly, enthusiastic person to join our team at Roost, our cosy café on Goddenwick Farm, just outside beautiful Lindfield. Our farm is family-friendly and full of life – the perfect place to work if you love great food, good company, and a relaxed countryside setting.

What you'll be doing:

Helping out with day-to-day café tasks like making and serving food and drinks
Getting hands-on in the kitchen – preparing delicious sandwiches, salads, and picnic boxes
Bringing a foodie flair and eye for presentation to everything you make
Keeping the café space clean, tidy, and welcoming
Chatting with customers, taking orders, and making sure everyone feels right at home
Lending a hand with drinks, restocking, and pitching in when it gets busy
Making sure we're all following food safety and hygiene standards
Being part of a fun, supportive team that works hard and has a laugh while doing it

What we're looking for:

Someone who enjoys working with people and has a positive, can-do attitude
A confident presence in the kitchen – you don’t need to be a chef, but you should be passionate about food, a bit of a foodie, and comfortable prepping fresh, tasty dishes
An eye for detail and presentation
Experience in a café or kitchen is a bonus, but not a must – we can show you the ropes
Someone willing to be barista trained
A good team player who’s also happy to take the lead when needed
Someone flexible who doesn’t mind weekend shifts or busy days when the sun’s out and the farm is buzzing

Please note: This role includes regular kitchen prep – so only apply if you're happy and willing to get stuck in behind the counter.
