ACS is seeking an ambitious, compassionate, and experienced Supported Living Manager to lead and develop our Supported Living Services in Luton.

This is an exciting opportunity for an established care leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred support while driving service growth, quality, and operational excellence. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring vulnerable adults with complex needs, and other support requirements are empowered to live independently, safely, and with dignity within their communities.

The Role

As Supported Living Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational management, quality assurance, compliance, and commercial performance of the service.

Key Responsibilities

Service Leadership & Management

Provide effective leadership and management across all supported living services.
Ensure services are delivered in line with CQC regulations, company policies, and best practice standards.
Promote a positive, person-centred culture that empowers individuals to achieve their goals and maximise independence.
Monitor and improve service quality through audits, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Care & Support Delivery

Coordinate and oversee the delivery of high-quality care and support to individuals using our services.
Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed and reflect individual needs, preferences, and aspirations.
Promote positive outcomes, independence, social inclusion, and wellbeing.
Ensure safe administration and management of medication where required.

Staff Leadership

Recruit, supervise, coach, and develop support staff and team leaders.
Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals, and performance management processes.
Foster a positive working environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
Ensure staff receive appropriate training and maintain compliance with mandatory learning requirements.

Safeguarding & Compliance

Ensure robust safeguarding procedures are implemented and adhered to at all times.
Act as the lead for safeguarding concerns and investigations where appropriate.
Maintain full compliance with regulatory requirements, health and safety legislation, and organisational policies.
Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting systems are maintained.

Stakeholder & Partnership Management

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with local authorities, commissioners, healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders.
Promote the service within the local community and support business development opportunities.
Participate in contract reviews, service reviews, and commissioning meetings.

Financial & Operational Management

Manage budgets effectively and ensure services operate within agreed financial parameters.
Monitor occupancy levels and support service growth initiatives.
Contribute to strategic planning and development opportunities across the organisation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced and motivated care professional with a strong track record of managing supported living or community-based services.

Essential Requirements

NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent management qualification).
Previous experience as a Supported Living Manager, Registered Manager, Service Manager, or similar leadership role.
Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or complex support needs.
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding legislation, and person-centred care principles.
Proven experience leading, supervising, and developing staff teams.
Experience managing budgets, service performance, and quality assurance processes.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable

Experience working with local authority commissioners and placement teams.
Experience supporting service growth and business development.
Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches.
Experience managing multiple supported living services.
