Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety are maintained. Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes
Manage food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Ensure all dishes are prepared efficiently and to the highest standards of taste and presentation
Support the team during busy service periods by preparing food as needed and maintaining a positive work environment
Uphold hospitality standards by ensuring excellent service delivery during all stages of food preparation and serving

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive food production and culinary expertise, with a strong understanding of cooking techniques
Demonstrated ability in food preparation, presentation, and maintaining high hygiene standards
Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team in a fast-paced setting
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in restaurant kitchens
Experience working within hospitality or restaurant sectors, with an emphasis on serving customers effectively
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Ability to motivate team members while fostering a collaborative work environment
