We are looking for a practical, reliable and mechanically minded person to join our Littlehampton workshop, assembling high-quality pushchairs.
This is a hands-on assembly position rather than a general warehouse picking and packing role. You will spend much of your day working at a bench, using hand and power tools to assemble products accurately to a defined quality standard.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Assembling pushchairs and components accurately at a workshop bench
* Using hand and power tools safely and confidently
* Following assembly instructions and established processes
* Checking your own work for faults, fit and finish
* Identifying and reporting problems rather than passing defective work on
* Assisting with stock, incoming goods and dispatch when required
* Working efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
What We’re Looking For
You should be someone who:
* Has good practical and mechanical ability
* Is confident using common hand tools and willing to use power tools
* Can follow written & verbal instructions accurately
* Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing good-quality work
* Is dependable, punctual and able to maintain concentration throughout the working day
* Can work independently once trained
* Is comfortable working to production targets without compromising quality
* Is happy working primarily on your feet at a workbench
* Can carry out the lifting and handling normally associated with a workshop and warehouse environment
Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, engineering, bicycle assembly/repair, automotive work, furniture making, woodworking or a similar practical trade would be particularly useful.
Formal qualifications are not essential, but applicants must be able to demonstrate practical ability and confidence with tools.
Recruitment Process
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview and asked to complete a short practical assembly/tool-use exercise. This is simply to assess practical ability, attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
If you have examples of relevant projects or work — such as mechanical repairs, woodworking, model making, bicycle/car work or other practical projects — you are welcome to include photographs with your application.

* Monday–Thursday: 08:30–17:00
* Friday: 08:30–15:30
