Part-Time Accounts Assistant

Location: Shrewsbury
Salary: £15.00 per hour
Hours: 3 Days Per Week (approximately 18-24 hours)
Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time

About Elite Calibrations

Elite Calibrations is one of the UK's fastest-growing ADAS calibration specialists, providing services to dealerships, bodyshops, glass companies and repair centres across the Midlands, North West and Yorkshire.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a reliable and experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team in Shrewsbury and support the day-to-day financial administration of the business.

The Role

This is a varied role that will involve supporting the management team with financial administration, bookkeeping and credit control duties. The successful candidate will play an important part in ensuring our accounts processes run efficiently and accurately.

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident using Xero.

Responsibilities

Managing purchase ledger and sales ledger activities
Processing supplier invoices and payments
Raising customer invoices and ensuring accurate records are maintained
Credit control and chasing outstanding payments
Bank reconciliations
Processing expenses and company card transactions
Maintaining accurate financial records within Xero
Assisting with payroll administration and reporting
Supporting month-end procedures and management reporting
General office and administrative duties as required

Requirements

Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper or Finance Administration role
Strong working knowledge of Xero is essential
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Good understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Professional and confident communication skills

Desirable

AAT qualification or working towards AAT
Experience within a small business environment
Experience with payroll administration
