The Opportunity
CB1 Pharmacy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented ACT to join our growing team.
This is a full-time, on-site role within a specialist private pharmacy focused on the dispensing of cannabis-based medicinal products (CBMPs). The role sits within a structured, governance-led environment where accuracy, compliance and operational efficiency are critical.
As demand continues to grow, we are expanding our team to maintain high standards of quality, safety and patient service.
This is a non-patient facing role; however, precise and professional communication - both internally and externally - is essential.
About CB1 Pharmacy
CB1 Pharmacy is a specialist online pharmacy dispensing private prescriptions for cannabis-based medicinal products to patients across the UK.
We operate within strict regulatory frameworks to prevent diversion and misuse of unlicensed medicines. All processes are governed in line with GPhC standards and internal SOPs.
Working closely with CB1 Medical, our vertically integrated model ensures safe prescribing, dispensing, and delivery within a controlled, compliant pathway.
The Role
As a Pharmacy Technician/ACT at CB1 Pharmacy, you will work within your clinical competencies as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting the Responsible Pharmacist and contributing to the safe and efficient running of the pharmacy.
You will operate in a fast-paced, process-driven environment where attention to detail and regulatory compliance are essential.
Key Responsibilities Dispensing & Accuracy
- Select, label and dispense cannabis-based medicinal products in accordance with SOPs.
- Ensure all dispensing activities meet GPhC standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication records in line with data protection principles.
- Support the safe and compliant supply of unlicensed CBMPs.
Regulatory Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all regulations relating to ordering, receiving, storing and supplying CBMPs are strictly adhered to.
- Maintain all required records to GPhC standards.
- Follow company policies and SOPs at all times.
- Maintain mandatory training compliance.
Stock & Operational Management
- Assist with stock control and inventory procedures to maximise availability and minimise waste.
- Liaise with named wholesalers daily to order stock aligned to business needs.
- Ensure imported CBMPs are available in a timely manner.
- Use pharmacy systems to process payments and issue invoices.
- Contribute to operational efficiency and workflow improvements.
Communication & Teamwork
- Liaise with pharmacists, consultants and internal team members.
- Maintain professional and disciplined working relationships.
- Escalate concerns appropriately and work collaboratively towards shared goals.
What We’re Looking For
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services
