Multi-Skilled Trades Operative

Location: Covering Cardiff, Bristol and the south West
Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE

We pride ourselves on excellent workmanship, a responsive approach, and strong customer care. Our team operates across the region, providing reliable services that ensure safe, comfortable and well-maintained homes.

The Role

We are seeking experienced multi-skilled tradesmen with strong customer service skills to carry out responsive repairs and maintenance in domestic properties.
You will work across occupied homes, delivering a variety of planned and reactive works while ensuring a professional, respectful and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out a range of multi-trade repairs and maintenance tasks in domestic and social housing properties.
Complete tasks such as painting, decorating, tiling, basic carpentry, patch plastering, and plumbing to a high standard.
Work efficiently in occupied homes, maintaining clear communication and professionalism with tenants.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Record work accurately using handheld devices or job sheets.
Report any additional issues, safeguarding concerns, or required follow-on works to your line manager.
Maintain company tools, materials and vehicle in good order.
Support responsive repairs, void works and maintenance projects as required.

About You

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

Proven experience delivering reactive maintenance or responsive repairs in domestic or social housing environments.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Competence in trades such as:
Plumbing
Carpentry
Patch plastering
General maintenance repairs
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to undertake DBS and background checks.
