Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled O&M Field Electrician to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems across various operational sites, be it solar farms or battery storage sites. Our sites are located throughout England, with Oxford being a good central position from which to tackle them.

The successful candidate would thrive in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and technical proficiency.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment on-site.
Troubleshoot electrical faults using specialised hand tools and power tools, ensuring minimal downtime.
Install, modify, and repair electrical wiring, panels, and fixtures in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Assist with testing and commissioning of new electrical installations.
Document all maintenance activities accurately in accordance with company procedures.
Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Respond promptly to emergency repairs or system failures to minimise operational disruptions.

Experience

Proven experience as an Electrician specialising in operations and maintenance (O&M).
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for electrical work.
Strong electrical experience, including knowledge of wiring, circuit breakers, control systems, and safety protocols.
Previous field-based experience working on industrial or commercial sites is preferred.
Relevant qualifications such as BS7671, Periodic Inspection&Testing or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) are very desirable.
Ability to work independently in diverse environments with minimal supervision while adhering to strict safety standards. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to quality workmanship and safety compliance within a fast-paced operational setting.

Pay: £35,000.00-£46,000.00 per year
