Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Junior Line Chef to join our team at <STREETADDRESS>, <LOCATION> ME18 5QY. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in culinary arts and hospitality to develop their skills within a dynamic kitchen environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting food preparation, assisting in food production, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is desirable, but training will be provided for the right candidate. This position is paid and ideal for those looking to build their career in the culinary industry.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Support the senior kitchen team in food production to ensure timely service during busy periods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
Supervise junior staff members when required, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Manage stock levels, assist with inventory checks, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Contribute to the development of new menu items and presentation styles under supervision
Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of equipment and ingredients

Qualifications

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail and presentation
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during service hours
