About the Role

We're looking for a confident, creative and energetic Marketing & Events Executive to lead the planning, coordination and execution of a wide range of events, creating memorable student experiences. You'll manage multiple projects simultaneously, work closely with internal teams, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You'll be exposed to a much wider business and in-depth, advanced marketing — from managing event booking and student record platforms to poster and email production, planning, analytics, and the coordination of stock and staff.

You won't just deliver events — you'll create them with purpose. From detailed planning, budgeting and stakeholder management through to analysing audience data and measuring success, every stage is driven by insight and strategy.

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to combine marketing skills for the planning and development of events with hands-on delivery — working face to face with customers while gaining real experience in event marketing, brand representation and campaign support. Working with our marketing team, you'll deliver events in line with our strategy, with oversight of commercial performance — evaluating each event's contribution to the business and ensuring the programme develops in a strategic and profitable way. There's significant room for growth for a candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit and a get-up-and-go attitude.

A Typical Day Includes

Leading the planning, set-up and hands-on delivery of online and face-to-face events across our sites
Producing marketing content across social media, web and print — from posters to reels
Managing event booking and student record platforms
Building relationships with universities, societies and local businesses to grow the CODE brand
Coordinating stock and staff for events
Tracking budgets, feedback and ROI so the events programme develops in a strategic and profitable way

Is This Role Right for You?

You stay calm under pressure and handle changing priorities and activities with ease
You can handle a wide range of different tasks and have a genuine interest in live marketing environments
You're creative, driven and have a "can do" attitude — you think outside the box and love variety
You're confident engaging with customers face to face, with high standards of professionalism
You have an analytical brain and enjoy using metrics to evaluate the success of events
You're proactive, with drive, energy and focus — willing to learn and develop through experience
Experience with digital platforms (social media, Eventbrite) is a bonus — full training is provided
You hold a full driving licence and have the energy to physically set up events

Experience With

Digital platforms such as social media and booking platforms like Eventbrite (a bonus — full training provided)
Working as part of a team — with designers and within brand guidelines
Evaluating your own work — understanding objectives and whether you met them
Researching best practice and learning from trends
Working with internal colleagues to support their aims, giving sound advice on digital platforms

Working Hours

Core hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm
This role also requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends around the events schedule
Travel to Coventry will also be required as part of this role
