HR Manager

Leicester

Permanent

Full-time - 37.5 hours per week

Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys being close to the business and making a real difference day to day? If you like a hands-on HR Manager role where you can support managers, guide employees and shape how things are done, this could be a great next step.

We’re working with a well-established business in Leicester who are looking for an HR Manager to take ownership of their HR function. This HR Manager role is varied and hands-on, giving you the chance to be involved in everything from employee relations through to supporting managers with practical, straightforward advice.

As the HR Manager, you’ll also manage and support an HR Administrator, so this would suit someone who enjoys developing others alongside their own workload.

You’ll be someone who enjoys building strong relationships across the business and is comfortable getting stuck into the detail when needed - a key part of being a successful HR Manager in this environment.

What you’ll be doing as the HR Manager:

· Acting as the main point of contact for all HR matters across the business

· Supporting managers with day-to-day HR queries and providing clear, practical guidance

· Managing employee relations cases including absence, performance, disciplinaries and grievances

· Overseeing recruitment, onboarding and probation processes

· Reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures

· Making sure everything is in line with current employment legislation

· Line managing and supporting an HR Administrator

· Keeping HR records accurate and supporting with reporting where needed

What we’re looking for in an HR Manager:

· Previous experience in a generalist HR role, ideally at Advisor or Manager level

· Some experience of managing or mentoring others would be useful

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment such as manufacturing or similar

· CIPD qualification would be helpful but isn’t essential

· Confident supporting and advising managers in a clear, down-to-earth way

· Organised, approachable and happy to take ownership of your workload
