About the role
Please note - we are recruiting to THREE GCP Assistant Project Manager positions on this campaign.
The Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) is responsible for transforming Greater Cambridge through a City Deal aimed at unlocking the economic growth potential of the area over the coming decades and realising thousands of new jobs and homes.
The development and delivery of major transport infrastructure is vital to the future economic wellbeing of Greater Cambridge. The GCP Transport programme is a cornerstone of the City Deal initiative and aims to develop a sustainable transport network for Greater Cambridge that keeps people, business and ideas connected as the area continues to grow.
This is a career-graded post, where we want to work with you to develop your skills in Transport Project Delivery. This will include opportunities to undertake professional qualifications.
What will you be doing?
We have three Assistant Project Manager positions

Assistant Project Manager- Madingley Road and Newmarket Road Travel Hub

Assistant Project Manager- Cambridge South West Travel Hub (construction)

Assistant Project Manager- Programme support
These positions will be working with a team of experienced project managers from varying backgrounds coming together to deliver key infrastructure projects for the Greater Cambridge area. This is an exciting environment where you will be encouraged to work independently and develop your skills and experience.
About you
All postholders requires knowledge, understanding and experience of project management, procurement and contract management. In addition, the postholder requires excellent communications skills and the ability to facilitate a range of diverse stakeholder groups.
In addition, the role of Assistant Project Manager- Cambridge South West Travel Hub will be helping to manage a major construction project over the next two years. Therefore we encourage applicants who are interested in developing skills in construction management on a major new infrastructure project to apply.
