We’re looking for a talented and commercially minded Senior Kitchen Designer to join our growing team.
This is a senior position within the business and an excellent opportunity for someone who understands the independent showroom environment and enjoys taking ownership of the customer journey from initial consultation through to project handover.
Unlike many retail kitchen roles, you’ll be working with a range of leading manufacturers, appliance brands and suppliers, allowing you to create truly bespoke solutions tailored to each customer’s needs.
We’re looking for someone who can combine exceptional design ability with strong sales skills, commercial awareness and outstanding customer service.

Alongside a competitive basic salary, you’ll benefit from an uncapped commission structure with realistic earnings of £55,000+ OTE.

The Role
As a Senior Kitchen Designer, you will take ownership of the customer journey from initial enquiry through to installation handover.
You will:
- Welcome customers into the showroom and build strong relationships from the first interaction.
- Conduct detailed consultations to understand customer requirements, lifestyles, aspirations and budgets.
- Create outstanding kitchen designs that balance creativity, practicality and commercial awareness.
- Produce high-quality designs and presentations using Articad or similar kitchen design software.
- Present concepts confidently and professionally, helping customers visualise their new space.
- Prepare accurate quotations, specifications and proposals.
- Guide customers through cabinetry, appliance, worktop, storage and finishing selections.
- Manage projects from initial enquiry through to order confirmation.
- Place and manage supplier orders accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with multiple manufacturers and suppliers to ensure products are delivered on time.
- Maintain excellent communication with customers throughout the ordering process.
- Work closely with the installation manager to ensure a smooth and accurate project handover.
- Deliver a customer experience that generates repeat business, referrals and five-star reviews.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant kitchen design experience within an independent showroom environment.
- Strong knowledge of the kitchen industry, products, suppliers and current design trends.
- Experience working with multiple kitchen manufacturers and supplier networks.
- Advanced kitchen design skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience using Articad is highly desirable.
- Strong product knowledge across cabinetry, appliances, worktops, lighting, storage solutions and accessories.
- Proven sales ability and a track record of converting enquiries into profitable projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and producing detailed quotations.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commercial awareness and confidence discussing project budgets and specifications.
- A proactive, professional and self-motivated approach.
