Job Overview
Atlantizenith Unipessoal Ltd is looking for reliable, compassionate and professional Health Care Assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care to an adult service user in their own home in Barbon, Carnforth, LA6 2LP.
This role is suitable for caring individuals who are committed to promoting dignity, independence, safety and wellbeing. You will support the service user with daily care needs in line with their individual care plan, risk assessments and provider policies.
Working Hours
The care package includes:
Monday to Sunday
- 45-minute lunch visit
- 45-minute evening visit
Applicants must be able to work flexibly across the week, including weekends, as part of a rota.
Important Service User Requirement
Due to the personal and intimate nature of the care required, and the specific needs and preferences of the service user, male carers are required for this care package.
This requirement relates to the delivery of personal care and privacy needs.
Important Sponsorship Statement
Atlantizenith Unipessoal Ltd is currently unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role, as we do not currently hold a Home Office sponsor licence. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK.
We may be in a position to offer sponsorship in the future, subject to our sponsor licence application being approved by the Home Office and subject to the availability and issue of a Certificate of Sponsorship. However, sponsorship is not available for this vacancy at this time.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Supporting the service user with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Promoting dignity, independence, privacy and choice at all times
- Assisting with mobility and safe moving and handling, in line with risk assessments
- Supporting with meals, drinks, hydration and nutrition where required
- Prompting or administering medication, where trained and authorised
- Monitoring the service user’s wellbeing and reporting any concerns promptly
- Providing companionship, reassurance and emotional support
- Following individual care plans, risk assessments and moving and handling guidance
- Completing accurate daily care notes and records
- Reporting incidents, accidents or safeguarding concerns without delay
- Maintaining confidentiality and complying with GDPR requirements
- Following infection prevention and control procedures
- Carrying out light domestic tasks where included within the care package

Essential Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans, risk assessments and instructions
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach
- Commitment to safeguarding, dignity and person-centred care
- Ability to work independently within a service user’s home
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in domiciliary care, care homes or healthcare support
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Experience supporting adults with physical disabilities

Atlantizenith Unipessoal Ltd is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide Personal Care. Care will be delivered in line with relevant care standards, safeguarding procedures, care plans, risk assessments and provider policies.
