Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes, ensuring consistency and presentation meet our standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a vibrant restaurant environment, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and quality standards
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas
Assist in meal preparation, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate service and maintain smooth workflow
Manage stock levels of ingredients, notifying management of shortages or expiry dates
Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times, including proper handling of equipment and utensils

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent understanding of meal preparation techniques, particularly grilling methods
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in presentation and quality control
Effective communication skills to work seamlessly with team members
Previous experience in serving or customer interaction is advantageous but not essential

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
