Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within a dynamic kitchen environment. The successful candidate will assist with meal preparation, food safety, and general kitchen duties, contributing to a smooth and efficient operation.

Duties

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
Support catering events by preparing ingredients and setting up service areas
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking supplies as needed
Serve food to guests or staff in a professional manner when required
Support the team during busy service periods by performing various kitchen tasks as directed

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn is important
Basic knowledge of food preparation and safety standards
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
Food safety certification or willingness to undertake relevant training is advantageous
