Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and other refreshments, while ensuring a high standard of customer service in a face paced busy environment. Your role will involve working in a fast-paced environment where you will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Duties

Prepare and serve high-quality beverages according to standard recipes.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering queries.
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Participate in training sessions to improve product knowledge and customer service skills.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy setting.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition to provide exceptional customer service.
A willingness to learn about coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes.
