Full job description

Job Overview
We have an opportunity for an experienced chef working part time or full time with day time hours and a flexible working pattern over a four day week.

Primarily working Sunday,Monday,Tuesday and Friday 9-5 with occasional extra shifts.

Capable of working alone or in a small team in a busy kitchen producing fresh food to good standards.

Duties

Help to coordinate daily kitchen activities, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and customer preferences.
Assist food preparation processes, ensuring all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and utilised effectively.
Support the kitchen team by providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
Collaborate with management to develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends and customer feedback.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order and report any issues promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Previous supervisory or team management experience is essential.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on fostering teamwork within the kitchen.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A genuine passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
