Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting our culinary team by maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and the hospitality industry, with an eagerness to learn and grow within the culinary field.

Responsibilities

Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly.
Keep work areas tidy and organised, including cleaning surfaces and equipment after use.
Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper stock rotation and hygiene standards are met.
Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately.
Support the team during busy service periods by helping to manage kitchen flow.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; we welcome individuals eager to learn.
A background in hospitality or culinary arts would be beneficial.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others.
Willingness to take on various tasks as needed within the kitchen.
