Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Paint Sprayer to join our Paint team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint and coatings to various surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets company standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of painting techniques. The position is full-time and involves working in a dynamic environment where safety and precision are paramount.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
Mix paints and coatings to specified colours and consistencies
Operate spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other hand tools to apply paint evenly across surfaces
Use power tools for surface preparation and finishing tasks
Ensure all painted surfaces meet quality standards through inspection and touch-ups
Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
Follow health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Assist with surface preparation tasks involving heavy lifting when required
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality expectations

Experience

Proven experience as a Paint Sprayer or in a similar role within woodworking environment
Mechanical knowledge relevant to handling spray equipment and power tools
Proficiency in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, sanders, and masking devices
Experience operating power tools safely and effectively
Strong attention to detail with an eye for colour consistency and surface finish quality
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to painting activities

Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
