Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring our customers enjoy authentic and delicious pizzas every time. The Pizza Chef will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of pizza styles, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to the overall dining experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to established recipes and quality standards.
Cook pizzas to perfection using traditional or specialised cooking methods, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety regulations.
Assist in meal preparation for other menu items as required, supporting the overall kitchen operations.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet customer demands during busy periods.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to create a safe working environment for all staff members.
Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service and uphold the restaurant’s reputation.

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
Knowledge of culinary techniques related to pizza making, including dough handling, sauce preparation, and baking methods.
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management.
Experience working in a fast-paced setting with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
Prior restaurant experience involving meal preparation or serving is advantageous but not essential for entry-level candidates.
