Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing, replacing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on various types of buildings including residential and commercial, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Ideally will hold a driving licence. Company van can be provided.

Duties

Installation of roofing systems such as flat roofing, pitched tiled roofs, metal sheeting, lead etc, according to specifications.
Repair and replace damaged roofing systems to ensure structural integrity.
Conduct inspections to identify issues with roofs and recommend appropriate solutions.
Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in all aspects of roofing work.
Perform heavy lifting as needed during the installation and repair processes.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, plumbers, and masons, to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Skills

Proficiency in roofing techniques and materials.
Experience with construction practices is essential.
Familiarity with lead welding techniques is advantageous.
Strong skills in fabrication and carpentry are preferred.
Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely.
Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the workday.
Knowledge of plumbing systems can be beneficial for integrated projects.
