Job Overview
We are an established Private Clinic offering a range of primary care services. This is a chance to join a young and vibrant company in the growing private health sector.

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team on a maternity cover basis.

This is initially a fixed-term position to cover maternity leave; however, there may be the opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right candidate at the end of the contract.

Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
Manage enquiries in person, by email and by telephone.
Maintain a neat, organized, and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
Process payments and cash handling
Ensure the reception area remains tidy and well-organised
Support other administrative duties as required by the practice

Requirements:

Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in using office software programmes (e.g., MS Office)
Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Friendly, professional demeanour with a patient-centred approach
Flexible approach to working hours, including weekend availability on a rota basis
5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths. ICT desirable

Experience

1 year experience in medical or other professional service setting, or in a customer facing role is desirable but not essential.
Computer literacy is essential, knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar is desirable.

Pay: £14.40 per hour
