About the Role

Avondale Foods is a leading food manufacturing company producing fresh and chilled food products for major retailers across the UK, including Marks & Spencer, Morrisons, and Waitrose.

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Production Operatives to join our production team. This role involves preparing, processing, and packing high-quality food products while maintaining excellent standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and process food products using both manual methods and food production machinery.
Ensure products are correctly identified and traceable throughout the production process.
Pack finished products according to customer specifications.
Check product quality, packaging, and use-by dates during production.
Apply labels accurately and ensure all product information is correct.
Complete production paperwork and quality records accurately.
Carry out manual handling duties safely and in line with company procedures.
Maintain high standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene at all times.
Keep work areas clean, tidy, and organised.
Follow all company policies relating to food safety, health and safety, and product integrity.
Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

What We're Looking For

Essential

Basic spoken and written English.
At least 6 months' previous work experience.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Good attention to detail.
Willingness to follow procedures and health & safety guidelines.
Ability to carry out manual handling and work in a fast-paced environment.
