Full job description

McCarthy & Byrne Solutions Ltd is currently seeking an experienced Groundworker to join a long-term infrastructure project based in Northampton.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with a respected contractor on a busy site, offering consistent hours, weekly pay and the opportunity to work as part of a professional and experienced team.

We're looking for reliable, hardworking Groundworkers who take pride in their work, have a strong understanding of site safety and can work efficiently as part of a team.

About the Role:

You will be involved in a variety of civil engineering and groundworks activities, supporting the successful delivery of the project while maintaining high standards of workmanship and health and safety.

Duties will include:

Drainage installation and repairs
Kerbing and edging
Flagging and paving
Foundation preparation
Excavation and reinstatement
General groundworks
Operating plant and equipment where authorised
Working safely around live construction activities
Assisting other trades and the site management team when required
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

Essential Requirements:

Applicants must have:

Valid CSCS Card
UKPIA SPA Passport (Essential)
Previous experience in all aspects of groundworks
Full PPE
Right to work in the UK
Excellent awareness of site health and safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering high-quality work

Desirable:

CPCS or NPORS Plant Tickets
Experience working on civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure projects
Additional site qualifications or certifications
