Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in a professional kitchen environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. This role offers flexible hours and an opportunity to develop culinary skills within a supportive team setting. The successful applicant will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to recipes and dietary requirements
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards
Ensure all food is stored correctly and rotation procedures are followed
Assist with meal plating and presentation to meet quality standards
Follow health and safety regulations at all times during food handling and preparation
Support the team during busy periods, ensuring timely service delivery
Keep track of stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen or restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Good communication skills to collaborate with team members
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work hours as required
Basic understanding of meal presentation and plating techniques
