Responsible Individual (RI)

Location: South Wales
Company: Perfect Pal Healthcare Ltd
Hours: 1–2 days per week (flexible)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About Us

Perfect Pal Healthcare Ltd is an established domiciliary care provider delivering high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes across South Wales. We are committed to providing safe, person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Responsible Individual (RI) to join our team on a part-time basis.

Role Overview

As the Responsible Individual, you will work closely with the management team to ensure that the service operates in compliance with Welsh legislation, regulations, and best practice guidance. You will provide oversight, support, and governance to help maintain high standards of care and regulatory compliance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care manager who is looking for a flexible role. Full training and support will be provided to assist you in fulfilling the Responsible Individual duties.

Key Responsibilities

Provide oversight of the quality, safety, and effectiveness of the service.
Support the organisation in meeting its obligations under the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016.
Monitor compliance with CIW regulations and standards.
Carry out regular quality assurance activities and service reviews.
Produce and review Responsible Individual reports as required.
Work closely with the Registered Manager and senior management team.
Ensure service users receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
Support the investigation of complaints, incidents, and safeguarding concerns where required.
Monitor policies, procedures, and governance systems to ensure compliance.
Attend occasional meetings with management, commissioners, and regulators.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in a management role within health or social care.
Strong understanding of domiciliary care services.
Good knowledge of CIW regulations and Welsh social care legislation.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and provide effective oversight.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable Requirements

Previous experience as a Responsible Individual.
Relevant health and social care qualifications.
Experience working with CIW inspections and regulatory compliance.
