Full job description

We are excited to be opening Berkshire Manor, a beautiful purpose-built care home, this September, and we’re looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our founding team.

Berkshire Manor will offer residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care across 72 private en-suite rooms, with state-of-the-art facilities designed to deliver exceptional care and comfort.

Location: Berkshire Manor, Ringmead, Bracknell RG12 7TB

Hours: 42 hours per week

Pay: £14.30 per hour

Contract: Full time

Shift: Days (including some weekends)

What you will be doing:

Leading a team of Health Care Assistants, acting as a positive role model and trusted point of support.
Assisting with personal care, meals, and daily living tasks.
Administering medication (following training and guidelines).
Updating care plans and maintaining accurate records.
Delivering the highest standard of person-centred care, promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing for every resident.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic environment.
Supporting family members and visitors.

What you need to succeed:

At least a minimum of 2 years’ experience in delivering care or as a Senior Care Assistant.
Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willing to sign up/or working towards it).
Trained in medication administration.
Excellent people and customer service skills.
Ability to induct, supervise and mentor junior staff.
Time management skills to delegate tasks within a team.
Excellent communication skills – verbal (within the team and to other external professionals) and writing (ability to write and maintain care plans) and digital skills.
Caring attitude.
Flexible and reliable.
