Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to oversee the cleaning and maintenance operations within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves managing a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and maintaining an organised and efficient working environment. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate operational flexibility. The Head Housekeeper will play a vital role in upholding the organisation’s reputation for cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards.
Develop and implement cleaning schedules, protocols, and quality control measures.
Train new staff members on cleaning procedures, safety standards, and customer service expectations.
Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and organise procurement as needed.
Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas, and facilities to maintain cleanliness standards.
Address guest or client complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth operational workflows.
Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, training sessions, and cleaning activities.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Experience

Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the housekeeping or hospitality industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Prior experience in delivering exceptional customer service is highly desirable.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and relevant health regulations.
Valid driving licence is advantageous for operational flexibility.
