Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday–Friday rotating shifts 6am-2pm, 7am-3pm, 1pm-9pm.
Location: Dunelm Distribution Centre, Stoke On Trent ST4 4EX

We're now looking for a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimising transport operations to ensure efficient, cost‑effective, and compliant delivery of services. As a Transport Planner, you'll play a vital role in ensuring goods are delivered efficiently, safely, and on time. This is a great opportunity to be at the heart of logistics operations, where no two days are the same and your decisions make a real impact.

✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

Planning and coordinating for 184 stores daily transport schedules to meet operational and customer requirements
Communicating with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers to manage changes, delays, or issues
Optimising routes, loads, and vehicle utilisation to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Allocate vehicle and trailer resource to plan and allocate driver resources to the plan

✅THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

Enjoy working in a fast‑paced, operational environment and can prioritise effectively
Communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders and work well as part of a team
Have a strong attention to detail and previous transport experience
Has good geographical knowledge and experience with backhaul
has experience with Paragon and also good knowledge of driver hours.
