We’re now looking for a passionate and reliable tutor to join our friendly team!

The Role

We are currently hiring for a qualified English tutor to support two secondary students.

Pay: £20 per hour
Location: BR6- sessions take place in the students' home
Commitment: 1 hour 30minutes per week

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 4:30PM onwards (1 hour with student one and 30 minutes with student two)

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys engaging with young people and would like to make a meaningful impact through personalised, one-to-one teaching.

Essential Requirements

Please read carefully — applicants must meet the following essential criteria:

Must be a qualified teacher: QTS, PGCE or an equivalent teaching certificate (REQUIRED)
MUST be available weekly for a 1 hour 30 minutes tutoring session (REQUIRED)
Must have achieved a B at GCSE or A level in the subject you're interested in tutoring if you are applying to work with GCSE/A-level students
MUST be able to prove that you have the right to work in the UK on a self-employed basis (REQUIRED)
MUST be able to access a printer as and when necessary- resources are provided however, tutors are expected to print from time to time (REQUIRED)

Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 tutoring sessions, focusing on their individual learning needs and goals.
Build relationships and rapport with students
Make sessions fun and interactive
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
Encourage and motivate students to build confidence in their academic abilities
