Due to continued growth and expansion within the business, Mainprize Offshore is seeking experienced and professional Masters to join our Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) fleet. This is an exciting opportunity to join a UK-based company operating in the offshore wind sector, where you will play a key leadership role onboard and help shape a strong, proactive safety culture as the fleet continues to expand.
As Master of a Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV), you will act as the company’s representative onboard, responsible for the safe and efficient transfer of Technicians, Personnel, and Cargo to and from offshore Wind Turbines and SOVs. You will be accountable for the overall safety, navigation, and operation of the vessel, ensuring a high standard of professionalism in all communications with the Company, Client, and MCC.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+Safe and efficient manoeuvring of the vessel within the Wind Farm, in accordance with vessel capabilities and operational limits
+Transfer of Technicians, Personnel, and Cargo to and from Turbines and SOVs
+Associated administrative duties, record keeping, and communication with the +Company and Client
+Compliance with the Company SMS and strict adherence to all IMO Codes
+Management and application of the PMS
+Leading, supporting, and guiding the Engineer and Deckhand, including hands-on assistance when required
+Ensuring compliance with all Flag, Port, and local regulations
Required Certification and Documentation:
+Master <500 GT CoC (STCW II/2 or II/3) or higher
+MCA FSE required for non-UK issued CoC holders
+GMDSS GOC/ROC Radio Operator Certificate
+Proof of right to work in the UK
+Valid passport for travel within the UK and EU
-Personal Survival Techniques (A-VI/1-1)
-Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention (A-VI/1-2)
-Elementary First Aid (A-VI/1-3)
-Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (A-VI/1-4) – within 4 years
-Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than FRB (A-VI/2-1)
-Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats (A-VI/2-2)
-Proficiency for Persons in Charge of Medical Care on Board Ship (A-VI/4-2)
-Advanced Fire Fighting (A-VI/3)
+ENG1 Seafarer Medical Certificate (any restrictions must be within the remit of the role)
+Crowd Management (A-V/2, A-V/3)
+Slinger/Banksman
+Food Hygiene Level 2
+Valid Driving Licence
Seagoing Experience:
+Proven experience as a Master on commercially operated vessels, with CTV experience preferred; however, candidates with small vessel command experience (Fishing, Tugs, Ro-Ro, etc.) will also be considered
+Strong experience in passenger transfer operations
+Proven ability to work effectively with both Company and Client representatives in a high-performance environment
