Full job description

Description of Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team at our Head Office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong accounting knowledge and excellent attention to detail to contribute to a fast-paced finance function.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with management accounting processes.

Responsibilities

Maintenance and reconciliation of nominal ledgers
Preparation and posting of journals
Accurate maintenance of financial ledgers
Reconciliation of control accounts
Collation and preparation of information for management accounts
Assisting with month-end procedures
Ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date
Supporting the wider finance team with administrative and accounting duties as required

Person Specification

Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a finance or accounts environment
Strong working knowledge of nominal ledger management
Experience with journaling and ledger maintenance
Experience completing control account reconciliations
Management accounts support experience
Highly IT literate with strong systems skills
Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach

Qualifications & Experience

AAT qualification advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
