Overview

Join our team as a Cotswold Gatehouse Cover Guard, where you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment at the entrance of our prestigious site. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to ensure safety, monitor access points, and uphold loss prevention measures through vigilant surveillance and professional presence. Your proactive approach will help safeguard assets, support emergency procedures, and provide excellent service to visitors and staff alike. Duties

Monitor access points at the gatehouse, authorizing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel
Conduct CCTV surveillance to oversee the perimeter and internal areas, ensuring security protocols are maintained
Perform regular visual inspections of the gatehouse and surrounding areas to identify potential security risks or breaches
Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies by following established procedures and coordinating with emergency services if necessary
Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious activity and reporting findings according to company policies
Maintain accurate logs of all access activities, incidents, and patrols to ensure thorough record-keeping
Provide first aid support when required, offering immediate assistance in case of minor injuries or health concerns

Qualifications

Proven experience in surveillance, security, or loss prevention roles is highly desirable
Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques to effectively monitor premises
Ability to remain alert and vigilant during long shifts while maintaining a professional demeanor
First aid certification or willingness to obtain training upon hiring is preferred
Strong communication skills to interact confidently with visitors, staff, and emergency responders
A proactive attitude with keen attention to detail in identifying potential security issues
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed
