Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Medical Secretary to join our General Practice team, to job share for approximately 17 hours a week over 2 full days. The post-holder will have some patient contact, and will be supporting and working alongside our team of GP's, nurses, office and operation managers and medical receptionists. Previous experience and knowledge of EMIS Web and Docman is necessary. Some Medical Terminology knowledge will be useful. You will have good organisational skills with good spoken and written skills and accuracy and attention to detail. The successful candidate must be flexible in terms of working additional hours when required to cover annual leave and sickness absence. The role is suitable for someone who is able to demonstrate that they can deal with a high volume of work whilst maintaining a keen eye for detail and accuracy. You must have excellent IT and communication skills as well as being a team player, reliable and organised.
