Job Title: Level 6 Environmental Management degree

Salary: £25,106 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Location: Veolia Pitsea Landfill Pitsea Hall Lane Pitsea Basildon Essex SS16 4UH

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent

Candidate shortlisting will take place in July 2026 with assessment days taking place July 2026.

During this programme, we'll help you develop your practical and behavioural skills and support you in gaining the technical and professional knowledge required for you to succeed in your career.

By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have received industry-standard training and attained qualifications that will enable you to progress and reach your full potential.

What you'll be doing;

To carry out all required environmental monitoring and reporting of results
To manage the leachate and surface water systems
To operate and maintain the leachate treatment plant
To supervise contractors, carry out contractor monitoring and issue permits to work
Schedule the work using the site monitoring schedule and plant maintenance plan
involved with delivering the companies aspiration for site with good biodiversity and public amenity

What we're looking for;

A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4/C (or equivalent) achieved or predicted, including Maths & English, A - Levels in Environmental/Science
Effective communication
Time management
Willingness to travel
Drivers license or willingness to get one
