Full job description

£13.25 per hour (equivalent annual salary confirmed based on agreed working hours)
9:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute or 1-hour unpaid lunch break by agreement)
4–5 days per week (including every Saturday)

About Us

UK Water Softeners Ltd is a growing family-run business specialising in water softeners, drinking water systems and salt deliveries across Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and surrounding areas.

We are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable person to join our office team in a varied customer service and administration role.

This is a permanent position with part-time or full-time hours available depending on the agreed working pattern.

Working Pattern

This role is available on either a 4-day or 5-day basis.

Required core working days:

Monday
Thursday
Saturday (9:00am – 1:00pm)
Additional days to be discussed

Working hours are 9:00am – 5:00pm, with either a 30-minute or 1-hour unpaid lunch break by agreement.

Holiday entitlement will be calculated based on the agreed working days and hours.

Due to our location, a driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred, as public transport options are limited.

Main Responsibilities

Duties will include:

Handling incoming customer calls and enquiries
Processing customer orders and payments
General administration and invoicing
Managing customer records and updating internal systems
Preparing customer paperwork and sales packs
Assisting with marketing and customer communications
Supporting stock ordering and general office organisation
Greeting customers visiting the office/shop
Providing general support to the office team

This is a varied role and duties may change from time to time to support the needs of the business.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

Be organised
Have excellent communication and telephone skills
Be confident using computers
Be friendly, professional and customer-focused
Be able to multitask in a busy environment
Be reliable and punctual

Previous experience in administration, retail, customer service or working with telephone/order systems would be beneficial.

Full training will be provided, so a positive attitude and willingness to learn are more important than previous industry experience.
