Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, assisting with patient education, and supporting the overall functionality of the clinic. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining a focus on health and safety standards.

About The Role

30, 40 and 60-minute appointment structure, allowing adequate time to deliver high-quality patient care based on individual periodontal needs.
Dedicated Dental Nurse support provided for all sessions.
High-quality instruments and equipment available.
Clinical protocols aligned with current BSP guidelines.
Supportive, prevention-focused environment with an emphasis on patient education and long-term oral health.
Opportunity to work within a modern private clinic alongside a multidisciplinary team.

Duties

Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth and removing plaque and tartar using specialised instruments.
Assist in the administration of local anaesthesia and other procedures as authorised.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care measures.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and organisational standards.
Adhere to infection control protocols and health & safety regulations diligently.

Qualifications

Recognised qualification as a Dental Hygienist from an accredited institution.
GDC registration
Proven experience in a dental setting is preferred but not essential for recent graduates.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Organised with keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about promoting oral health and providing outstanding patient care within a professional environment.
