PR & Social Media Executive

If you’re considering a new role, which develops your career in PR and Social Media whilst working with some of the biggest cycling brands in the world and, then SHIFT's PR & Social Media Exec role could be just for you.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and positive person to join our media agency who can produce high-quality PR & social content for our clients.

As part of our PR department, you will support across all aspects of activation from product launches and international media events to content writing and campaign reporting. Possessing a working knowledge of digital media platforms, and skilled in creating content for social platforms, you will craft and share interesting stories with key media contacts and develop creative content ideas to engage social media audiences.

You will be supported by both the PR Manager and Social Media Manager in particular with additional assistance from the team and wider agency; you'll have plenty of opportunity to develop your skills and interests. We are committed to fostering talent, providing early-career team members with the mentorship and support needed to stretch their skills.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting across all aspects of PR & Social Media execution
Building and maintaining global media relationships
Writing press releases, media pitches and other editorial content
Creating and pitching story angles to media
Developing content ideas for social media campaigns, optimised for relevant channels
Supporting with Social Media campaign development, community management and reporting
Sourcing and monitoring of influencers/ambassadors
Over time, building and maintaining excellent client relationships
Coverage collation and reporting, managing product and interview requests, event support and database management

The Candidate

You’ll have some experience of working in a PR and/or Social Media role either within an agency or in-house (even if just an internship). You’ll be a talented writer and confident communicating, with an ability to develop positive relationships with clients, colleagues and journalists.

We are looking for an adaptable, enthusiastic team member who enjoys working with digital media and active lifestyle brands. Whether you are an experienced professional or an early-career graduate with relevant agency placement experience, we’d love to hear from you.

An interest in cycling is desirable and a knowledge of the industry is helpful, regardless of cycling level and ability.
