We specialise in UK and international transport, including temperature-controlled and ambient logistics, operating a modern fleet to deliver chilled, frozen, and ambient goods. Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial management activities, preparing accurate financial reports, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in financial accounting and proficiency in various accounting software platforms to contribute to organisational growth and efficiency. The Management Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the organisation’s financial health.

Duties

Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
Ensure accurate accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Maintain an accurate fixed asset register
Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies
Assist with preparation of year end accounts
Support compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements
Collaborate with senior management to support strategic decision-making
Complete weekly payment runs to suppliers
Assist in other ad hoc finance related duties

Experience

AAT Level 3/4.
Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role within a finance department.
Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage or equivalent systems would be advantageous.
Strong understanding of financial services industry practices is desirable.
Demonstrated expertise in financial management, reporting, and accounting principles.
Familiarity with accounts payable processes and general financial accounting procedures.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
