Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Pharmacist to join our team in Bathgate Heath Centre Pharmacy. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring accurate medication dispensing, and supporting the overall pharmacy operations. This position offers flexible hours suitable for individuals committed to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services within a clinical setting. The ideal applicant will possess relevant experience and a strong commitment to patient safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

Provide expert advice on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions to patients and healthcare professionals
Accurately check all prescriptions
Monitor patient medication histories and ensure appropriate medication administration
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimise patient care plans
Maintain meticulous records of prescriptions dispensed and patient interactions
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy SOP's and safety standards
Assist in inventory management, including stock control and ordering supplies as needed
Support patient education initiatives regarding medication adherence and health management

Experience

Proven experience as a Pharmacist registered with the GPhC
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, and medication administration protocols
Demonstrated ability to deliver compassionate patient care in fast-paced settings
Familiarity with Pro Script or a similar PMR system
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication within healthcare teams

This role is ideal for pharmacists seeking flexible part-time hours while making a meaningful difference in patient health outcomes. The job would ideally be suited to an Independent Prescribing Pharmacist as this is already an established and well utilised service within the branch. Candidates should be committed to ongoing professional development and maintaining high standards of practice.

Hours

We are looking for someone to work 22 hours per week over the following days.

Tuesday 8am-6pm

Wednesday 8am-6pm

Alternate Saturdays 9-1pm

Work Location: In person
