Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Dispenser / Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy operations, medication management, and patient care. This role involves preparing and dispensing medications accurately, assisting with medication administration, and providing excellent support to both patients and healthcare professionals. The successful applicant will be committed to maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and patient confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
Prepare medication orders, including compounding and packaging as required
Assist with medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring proper documentation
Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries and offering medication-related advice within scope of practice
Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications and inventory management
Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and health regulations at all times
Support the pharmacy team with administrative tasks such as stock control and ordering supplies
Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards in handling patient information

Skills

Proven experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser within a healthcare setting
Strong knowledge of medication types, dosages, and administration procedures
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications
Good communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy
Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and record keeping procedures
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on pharmaceutical regulations
