Sales & Customer Service Manager

Tigfusion Ltd (trading as UltraHighVacuum.com)

Location: East Sussex (Office Based)

Salary: £35,000+ DOE + Annual Performance Bonus

About Tigfusion

Tigfusion is a growing specialist engineering business supplying ultra-high vacuum (UHV) products and solutions to customers across research, scientific, aerospace, semiconductor, fusion and advanced manufacturing industries worldwide.

We design and manufacture our own range of specialist vacuum products while also supplying a complementary range of distributed vacuum products through UltraHighVacuum.com from leading suppliers.

About the Role

We are looking for a driven, organised and commercially minded Technical Sales Executive to join our growing team at Tigfusion.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role within a specialist engineering business. You will be responsible for managing customer enquiries, developing relationships with new and existing customers, preparing quotations and supporting opportunities through to completion.

Working closely with the CTO and engineering team, you will help customers identify the right solutions, ensure their requirements are fully understood and provide a high level of customer support throughout the sales process.

As our business continues to grow, this role will become an integral part of our customer service and sales function. You will undertake many of the day-to-day activities that support our customers, helping to maintain the high standards of service we pride ourselves on while enabling the business to continue expanding. Alongside supporting existing customers, you will also identify opportunities to improve customer experience, strengthen customer relationships and contribute to future sales growth.

The role will involve selling both Tigfusion manufactured products and distributed vacuum products supplied through UltraHighVacuum.com. You will play an important part in converting enquiries into orders, maintaining strong customer relationships and supporting the continued growth of the business.

This is an office-based position, ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with customers, building relationships and working within a specialist engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Managing incoming customer enquiries from initial contact through to order.
Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers.
Following up quotations and sales opportunities to maximise conversion.
Selling Tigfusion manufactured products alongside distributed vacuum products supplied through UltraHighVacuum.com.
Communicating confidently with customers by telephone and email.
Preparing quotations and supporting the sales process.
Maintaining accurate customer and opportunity records within the CRM system.
Supporting sales administration activities and ensuring customer information is kept up to date.
Working closely with the CTO and engineering team to ensure customer requirements are understood and supported.
Identifying opportunities to improve customer experience and sales processes.
Working with our in-house development team to help improve CRM and sales workflows where appropriate.
Supporting customer visits, exhibitions and sales activities when required.
Identifying opportunities to grow existing customer accounts and develop new business.
Contributing ideas towards marketing campaigns, product launches and customer engagement activities.

About You

We are looking for someone who is commercially driven, organised and confident communicating with customers.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Proven experience in a sales role.
Experience selling within manufacturing, engineering, scientific or technical industries.
A strong telephone manner and confidence speaking directly with customers.
Experience using a CRM system to manage opportunities and customer relationships.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
A proactive approach to following up opportunities and converting sales.
A proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes and customer experience.
Commercial awareness and an enthusiasm for contributing to business growth.
The ability to understand customer requirements and communicate solutions effectively.
A full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience

Knowledge of vacuum technology, particularly ultra-high vacuum systems and components.
Experience selling engineered products or technical solutions.
Experience working with international customers.
Experience working within a specialist engineering environment.
Experience using ERP and CRM systems such as Odoo.
