Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our finance team. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounts, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software programmes and possess a strong understanding of accounts payable processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their careers in bookkeeping within a professional environment.

Duties

Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is correctly recorded.
Assist with preparing financial reports and summaries for management review.
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations.
Organise invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation systematically for easy retrieval.
Collaborate with external auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation and explanations.

Experience

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within a similar industry.
Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
Familiarity with organisational financial procedures and compliance standards.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial records.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism. This role is ideal for candidates who are meticulous, proactive, and eager to contribute to the organisation’s financial stability through precise bookkeeping practices.

Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
