Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a professional and dynamic Night Manager/Duty Manager to oversee hotel operations during the overnight shift. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent guest service abilities, and relevant experience within the hospitality industry. This role offers an opportunity to ensure smooth night-time operations, maintain high standards of service, and lead a dedicated team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to effectively communicate with diverse guests and staff.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all hotel activities during the night shift, ensuring operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Lead and motivate the night team, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of service delivery.
Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and tact.
Oversee security procedures, ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and hotel property.
Manage administrative tasks such as reporting incidents, completing shift handovers, and maintaining accurate records.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel policies at all times.
Assist in human resources functions including scheduling, training new staff, and performance management when required.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within the hospitality or hotel industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Excellent guest service skills with a focus on delivering memorable experiences.
Previous hotel experience is highly advantageous.
Knowledge of human resources practices related to staffing and staff development.
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to facilitate communication with international guests and staff.
Organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple responsibilities during overnight hours.
Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent communication skills, and are committed to maintaining high standards of hospitality during night-time operations.
