Full job description

Homeleigh Garden Centre Launceston is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team on a full-time basis, working five days per week. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our customers, staff, and visitors across the garden centre. Days of work will be Wednesday - Sunday, 6 hours per day. 8am starts currently (Mon - Sat), with flexibility to start at 9am where required.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and maintain all customer and staff areas, including shop floors, toilets and some staff areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitise surfaces to a high standard.
Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
Clean windows, doors, and other high-touch surfaces.
Replenish cleaning supplies and restroom consumables as required.
Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or damaged equipment to management and maintenance team.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
Assist with additional cleaning duties during busy periods or special events as required.

Skills and Experience

Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining excellent standards.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Physically capable of performing manual cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking throughout the day.
A positive attitude and willingness to contribute as part of the Homeleigh team.
